Age Category Definition:
Below 10 years: D.O.B. between 2nd Oct 2015 – 2nd Oct 2025
Between 11 – 17 years: D.O.B between 2nd Oct 2008 & 1st Oct 2015
Between 18 – 34 years: D.O.B between 2nd Oct 1990 & 1st Oct 2008
Above 35 Years: D.O.B Before 1st Oct 1990


KINDLY READ THE REVISED RULES CAREFULLY

  1. 1. To qualify for the COC round, khelaiyas need to play on all three days, as well as, win in any position on any one of the days.
  2. 2. Attendance will attract 5 points on each day. Attendance will be taken on the field, just before the start of round as per the category.
  3. 3. Every participant will be given a token number at the time of registration; the number would remain the same throughout the entire event of ‘RAAS SANGAATH’ for all the 3 days.
  4. 4. It is mandatory for willing participants to register themselves through this online form, which requires each khelaiya to submit their age proof in the form of Original Birth Certificate or Passport copies.
  5. 5. Each and every participant must carry their individual number card everyday to the venue in order to qualify for COC and Player of tournament.
  6. 6. “Player of Tournament” Points structure
    1st prize- 10 points
    2nd prize- 9 points
    3rd prize – 8 points
    1st consolation- 7 points
    2nd consolation- 6 points
    3rd consolation- 5 points
    Best dress- 5 points
  7. 7. Player of the Tournament (P.O.T) will be announced on the basis of cumulative total points scored by an individual across 3 days.
  8. 8. It is mandatory for Khelaiyas to wear traditional attire.
    For girls – Traditional chaniyacholi with dupatta. (NO TOPS ALLOWED) which includes covering of their head (except 35+ age group).

    For Boys – Traditional kediyu is mandatory for all age categories and a special exception for the above 35 age category is made where in kurta-pyjama with jacket / koti is  mandatory to accommodate our traditional culture.
    Non-compliance will lead to disqualification.

  9. 9. Registration as a Khelaiya does not entitle the individual admission to the event, irrespective of khelaiya registration.
  10. 10. A separate COC  round will be held on 1st October’25 apart from the general competition rounds.
  11. 11. No change of partners is allowed for the Raas competition round across all three days, in any of the age categories.
  12. 12. Once a khelaiya receives either 1st, 2nd or 3rd position on any of the days, they shall not be awarded the same position on any other day. The khelaiyas are still eligible to receive consolations and best dress prizes to compete further. Respective points will be awarded according to their final position.
    The competition points will be given in GARBA / GARBI round in three different criterias, namely Grace, Energy & Variation.
    For the Raas round, points will be awarded on the basis of four different criterias: Grace, Energy, Strike & Variation.

    If, in any age category, there is clash of points in any position, the point according to the above criterias holding more priority  will be the decide the position.
    For Example: Khelaiyas registered under token no.150 & token no. 260 for the 11- 17 age category, has an equal score of 23 points for the 1st position, wherein khelaiya with token no. 150 gets points 9,8, & 6 respectively & khelaiya with token no. 260 gets points 8,6,9 respectively, the winner would be khelaiya with token no. 150 as their criteria holds more weightage than khelaiya with token no. 260. By chance, if the 1st criteria points are the same, then 2nd criteria will be considered and so on.

  13. 13. For the Raas Round, age of the elder person will be considered for the age category.

  14. 14. Under all circumstances, the decision of the organizing committee would be considered the final and binding decision.
  15. 15. The rules are being framed and circulated well in advance so that all participants get ample time to abide by and adhere to them. Thus, no exceptions for any individual shall be entertained.
